Golf on the Mornington Peninsula

Have I told you how much I love living on the Mornington Peninsula. Last weekend a mate and i went down for a late Sunday afternoon game at Flinders Golf Club. Despite the greens being cored just one week prior it could not have been a more enjoyable experience. I noticed 3 other golfers on the course, there were gliders and kite surfers up near the sixth green riding on the gentle warm thermal updrafts and we had a couple of quiet Coopers Pale Ale's as we wandered around.

Flinders is a track that is improving all the time. Its really enjoyable because its not long with some testing short par fours. The views are nearly without parallel in Australia and the condition of the course seems to be improving all the time. Its not expensive to get on (around $30) and if you pick your time smartly you will be the only one out there.

Some interesting golf results on the weekend. Sergio finally had a win and got some reward for all his hard work this year. Steve Allan is having a great run in the US and should be able to keep his card. Go plugger!!

Golf, the Mornington Peninsula and Psychology

Hi All

This blog will be about golf, your golf dreams, getting great golf results, the Mornington Peninsula its wineries and golf courses and psychology. I have lived on the Peninsula most of my life and now have a small psychology practice, which gives me the time to play golf and spend time with family.

I believe psychology to be the new frontier for golf. Gradually players all over the world are realising the way to improving their game isn't through buying the new driver, spending hours on the range pounding balls or filling their head with lots of technical info on the golf swing. Its through using the advances in psychology to think better thereby freeing up their golf game.
